A) If you’re action-blocked (temporary limit)
Stop the blocked action (DMs, follows, etc.) and give the account time to cool down.
Use Instagram normally for 24–72h: view stories, reply to inbound DMs, post/reply to comments—no bulk actions.
Check Account Status to see if any policy violation is listed. If a Request review is offered, submit it.
Remove parallel apps you don’t need: Settings → Security → Apps and Websites → Active → Remove.
B) If your account was disabled/suspended (can’t log in)
From the disabled notice, tap Request review (if shown). If you can’t access the in-app flow, use the official Disabled account contact form and follow the ID steps.
Watch your email (and spam) for Meta’s follow-ups; respond promptly.
If your first appeal is denied but you still believe it’s an error, check Account Status / Support Inbox to see if the case is eligible for Oversight Board review and follow the instructions.
C) If your account is hacked/compromised
Use Get help logging in to receive a login link or code and secure the account.
Turn on two-factor authentication and review Apps and Websites to remove any suspicious access.
